Photography and Cards

Using  photos is a great way to enhance your card production.  I saw an idea from  Photojojo  that should make fabulous backgrounds and original ‘designer papers’!  Photojojo calls the method refractographs. Check it out here.  My first attempts (see below) are much different than Photojojo’s, but I’m happy anyway.  (Now I just need to get busy and make some cards!)

All Day Long

Here are some pictures from our recent all-day Cardisans retreat. We had a great visit together and a very productive day (in the words of the social column journalist I remember from my childhood …a good time was had by all!).  Thanks to Lillian, our photographer and archivist.

Thank-you Card

Before Christmas,  Stampin’ Up was offering free shipping and handling on orders over $100,  along  some other promotions.  It added up to a sweet deal, and I took advantage of it.  Of course, it’s always so exciting to get a new order, but along with the goodies you’ve ordered, Lillian always includes a wonderful thank-you card, which heightens the anticipation!  I love everything about this card,  (the colors, the birdie, the snowflakes, the sentiment about friendship, the cool tree) and in case you haven’t already seen it,  I thought you would like to see it, too.

Well, it’s the day after the Big Day!  I hope you all had a great time with family and friends.  Among other goodies, Santa brought me some new toys to play with; I’m looking forward to being inspired!  How was your Christmas?
